Transport Department
Bus Exhibition for Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Transport Department, together with Kowloon Motor Bus, Citybus, New Lantao Bus, RTHK, and Cityline, organized a bus parade and exhibition titled “Buses of the Past: A Journey of Memories.”
The four-day event, held from October 19 to 22, 2024, at Victoria Park, was open to the public, inviting citizens to revisit and experience the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong’s bus history.
Let’s look back together and witness the glorious years of Hong Kong buses!

iBorn Media gave its full support to the preparation of the event, assisting with theme planning, event coordination, program flow, visual design, stage construction, human resources management, material preparation, public relations promotion, and on-site photography to capture every wonderful moment. The iBorn team spared no effort to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
In terms of event coordination, iBorn carried out extensive collaboration, maintaining close communication with the Transport Department, RTHK, Kowloon Motor Bus, Citybus, and New Lantao Bus. Beyond managing the program flow and venue setup on the event day, we also designed the venue decorations and printed materials. In addition, we adopted eco-friendly materials for stage construction and commemorative ticket production, supporting sustainable development and ESG goals.

The highlight activities of the bus parade and exhibition “Buses of the Past: A Journey of Memories” included a parade of both active and retired buses, exhibitions, and displays of bus heritage. On the first day, following the opening ceremony, eight buses paraded through Hong Kong Island, showcasing the development journey of Hong Kong’s bus system. iBorn also assisted in planning the parade route and traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth running of the event.
In the exhibition area, after extensive coordination with the three franchised bus companies, iBorn helped present ten classic buses, such as the KMB Daimler CVG, CTB Leyland Jumbo, and NLB Leyland Victory Mark II. The exhibition featured historic bus stop signs, display cases with bus seats, driver uniforms, and bus tickets from different eras, allowing the public to engage closely with the evolution of Hong Kong’s bus culture.
In addition, iBorn was responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and installing giant neon signboards and bus model showcases as photo spots, offering rich interactive experiences for citizens to enjoy memorable moments with family and friends during the event.
